Carry the God with us

Third blessing of carrying the God with us:

3- Protection – ‘Christ centred’ life becomes meaningful and goal oriented. If your faith is ‘me-centred’, you will get nowhere with God. But when your faith is ‘Christ centred’ then everything Christ has become available to you.

When our life is ‘Christ centred’, He leads us, He carries us, He protects us and He provides the ultimate meaning to our life that enables us to love the world as we love ourselves.

Israelites carried The Ark of the Covenant with them and it is mentioned about 180 times in the Scriptures. So it must be very important. The Tabernacle is the physical and visual presence of God. And every bit of activity in the outer and inner court of the Tabernacle was for one purpose, to lead them into the Holy of Holies where God’s presence was.

New Testament realities are pictured in Old Testament symbols. And among the symbols The Ark is the most significant one. Because The Ark was the most important piece of furniture in the Tabernacle. In this regard it the picture of Christ we love and serve.

And who is Christ?

He is Lord. He is supreme. There is no one like Him. Paul writes: ‘Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creations, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth…..(Colossians 1:15-20)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight” (Proverb 3:5)
